This year, workshops will be available for the first time at the Albuquerque Mini Maker Faire!
Using e-textiles to explore and understand designs of electronic circuits. We will use light emitting diodes (LED), conductive thread and batteries to enhance designs for a bookmark that’s bright enough to read by! Also, we’ll show you how you can LIGHTEN UP your own barrettes, bracelets, sweaters, hats … just about anything!
$5/person for workshop supplies;
Limit: 20 participants/workshop.
Learn how to make your own custom assistive technologies (AT) including sturdy stylus; easy-grip for eating utensils, writing instruments and stylus; Adjustible Tablet Stand; and Privacy Screen. We’ll share local and online sources for inexpensive materials, as well as sources for instructions to make other DIY AT.
FREE but workshop registration is required when tickets are purchased! (Pay it Forward donations are encouraged and accepted for future DIY AT workshops);
Limit: 15 participants/workshop.
Sign up for one or both when you buy tickets for the Faire (SORRY, tickets for WORKSHOPS are NOT AVAILABLE at this time!)
Join us to find out what the excitement is all about!
See you soon!
