Lighten Up! Outreach Workshops

Lighten Up!

505access and members of our local communities have been presenting fun, hands-on workshops in electronics and electronic circuits to kids of all ages. We have been active in different venues including: Albuquerque Railyards Market, Albuquerque Museum, The NM Museum of Natural History, Children’s Choice Child Care Services and Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation (CTHF) Adaptive Sports Camp. In addition, featured below is a selection of pictures from our Workshops at Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails Camporee, Tech Trek (NM Highlands University) and Expanding Your Horizons (University of New Mexico). In August 2016, the Albuquerque Mini Maker Faire offered workshops for the first time and we were there!

In keeping with spirit of the Maker-movement of learning skills and passing them on, Aaron and his students planned to present their Lighten Up! workshops at the Expanding Your Horizons Conference in Albuquerque in January 2017. Unfortunately, Aaron had a family emergency. Alice filled in his big shoes with help from Grace, Emma, Kacie, Alexis, Anna, April and Patrick. Special thanks to Dana for these amazing pics!
